Join members of Wicomico Public Library, Fenix Youth Project, Inc., the Nabb Research Center and the Salisbury Lynching Memorial Taskforce to learn more about the Lift Every Voice African American poetry project. Teens who sign up will receive instruction on interviewing and recording elder voices in our community to document historical events that are part of our community's history and that live on in the memories of our elders. These interviews will take place in October and November, culminating in a group project and poetry workshop on December 5, where youth will learn how to create a community poem from the interviews they have recorded. Youth who sign up and participate will be eligible for volunteer hours.
*NOTE* Registration deadline has passed, but stay tuned for updates!
