About this blog
The BIg Conversation Partnership is a group of organizations working to build bridges across divides in our Southern Maryland community.
This group was also instrumental in starting the work of remembering Benjamin Hance, the only documented lynching victim in St. Mary's County. A Soil Collection Ceremony was held on November 1, 2019, and a historic marker is in the works now. An exhibit about Mr. Hance and the lynching can be seen at the Old Jail Museum in Leonardtown.
